Guide to get your provider directory
Follow the steps below to get a copy of your provider directory, using the Find a doctor tool to look up doctors and facilities near you. Download your provider search results or have them emailed to you.
1. Go to Find a doctor from the Blue Shield of California home page
2. Select provider type
3. Select 'Yes' or 'No' for Blue Shield membership
4. Enter your search location
5. Select 'Yes' to search within a plan, or 'No' to search with all plans
6. Select your desired plan
7. Select doctor specialty (multi-select is possible)
8. Results are listed. Click to open Filter and Sort
9. Sort results, expand the search area, or filter by language, gender, medical group and more
10. Select 'Save Results'
11. Email your directory – Enter your email address and click 'Send'
12. Download directory – Select 'Download' option and click 'Download' button
