We believe good health care goes beyond just physical care. That’s why we are offering you access to the GEDWorks™ program.
GEDWorks™ is a special program that can help you get your high school equivalency diploma at no cost. GEDWorks™ provides the support and tools you need to pass the GED test.
What's included
The GEDWorks program provides everything you need.
Sign up to get:
- GED tests and study materials
- A personal GED Advisor to help every step of the way
- Bilingual Advisors
- Access to our Facebook support group
- Test until you pass
To enroll you must:
- Be a current member of Blue Shield Promise
- Be at least 18 years old
- Not have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Not be currently enrolled in high school
How it works
- Registration only takes a few minutes.
- Allow at least 2-3 business days for your application to be reviewed and approved
- Congrats you're a GED Student. Login to your GED.com dashboard for your next steps.
- Set up your personal success plan with your GED advisor

Is there a cost for this program?
No, Blue Shield Promise members get the program at no cost! Blue Shield Promise will take care of all costs.
Will the program work for me and my schedule?
Absolutely! Your personal GED Advisor will work with you to customize your plan.
How will my advisor contact me?
Your personal GED Advisor will contact you by phone and email so make sure you check your email and phone regularly and respond in a timely manner. They will be there to help you every step of the way.
Can I take the test more than once?
Yes. With GEDWorks you receive unlimited study materials and testing as long as you follow the program guidelines.

Participation in this program is free and voluntary for all eligible Blue Shield of California Promise Health Plan members. You can end your participation at any time, for any reason. Participation in this program will not affect your Medi-Ca/ benefits or coverage.
