We don’t have to tell you that your Blue Shield of California Medicare Advantage plan has a lot of great features. It is designed to make reaching your health goals easier. We cover Annual Wellness Visits, a variety of medications, many screening tests, and much
more.

In addition, we offer other valuable programs and perks that you’ll want to take full advantage of, too. Learn more about these resources and use them to stay healthy.

 

1. Vision benefits

Getting regular eye exams is key for your overall health. Eye exams can detect chronic eye diseases caused by diabetes, hypertension, and high cholesterol. Your vision test is covered by your Medicare Advantage plan. To find a vision provider in your network, visit Find a doctor.

 

2. SilverSneakers, a fitness benefit built for seniors

Some Blue Shield Medicare Advantage* members have access to SilverSneakers®, a fitness program designed to help improve strength, flexibility, and balance. It includes a membership to thousands of gym and fitness locations.

 

3. Teladoc, for 24/7 virtual care

Get the care you need, when you need it most. You can connect with a board-certified doctor by phone or video from the comfort of your home within 60 minutes. Their doctors can treat many non-emergency conditions, prescribe medications,† and let you know if you need to seek in-person care. 4. Blue Shield of California Appreciation Program

You can earn gift cards for receiving important routine care for your health. This includes a $50 gift card for having your Annual Wellness Visit and a $10 gift card for getting your flu shot. You may be eligible for other incentives, such as having a diabetic eye exam, breast cancer screening, and others. Register for the program and complete your visit before December 31.
