Blue Shield offers Maven, programs designed to support you and your family during life's many stages of family planning, fertility, maternity, parenting, pediatrics, and menopause. You can also get support if you have experienced a pregnancy loss.
Sign up today to access:
- On-demand virtual appointments with Maven OB-GYNs, lactation consultants, doulas, mental health specialists, nutritionists, career coaches, and many more
- Your own Care Advocate who can help you navigate your health plan benefits and providers, find in-person care, and more
- Educational resources including virtual classes, helpful articles, and community forums
Prenatal support is included in most health plans – at no extra cost – for both you and your partner. Access to additional Maven content varies depending on your employer. Reach out to the Member Services number on your Blue Shield Member ID card, your employer's HR team, or support@mavenclinic.com with questions.
You should continue to see your OB-GYN. Regular visits with your OB-GYN help keep mom and baby healthy.

Frequently asked questions
Do I qualify for Maven?
Not all plans offer Maven. Register now. Maven will verify your eligibility during enrollment. Prenatal support is included in most health plans – at no extra cost – for both you and your partner. Access to additional Maven content varies depending on your employer. Reach out to the Member Services number on your Blue Shield Member ID card, your employer’s HR team or support@mavenclinic.com with questions.
How much does Maven cost?
If you are eligible for Maven, you and your partner can access all services and resources at no extra cost.
What if I already have an in-person OB-GYN?
You should continue to see your OB-GYN. Regular visits with your OB-GYN help keep mom and baby healthy. During prenatal visits, your OB-GYN will check your health, make sure the baby is growing as expected, and answer your questions.
How does Maven support partners?
Partners can also sign up with their own Maven account and access appointments, articles, videos, and virtual classes. They also get guidance specific to the partner experience.
Do Maven’s providers speak languages other than English?
Providers on Maven speak over 35 different languages, including Spanish, Mandarin, Hindi, French, German, and Hebrew.
Can I use Maven if I live outside California?
Yes! Maven services are available to eligible members wherever they live. You can access services and support online or through the Maven app.
